I'm here to make sure you become irresistible to recruiters and hiring managers. In an extremely competitive marketplace, I can show you how to take back control of the job search, become a stand-out candidate and ultimately land you your dream career. Oh, and I promise to make the process fun. Yes, fun.

I'm Jena

Today I am sharing my career journey from interning to landing a job on Wall Street and finally launching my own coaching business. We are going to dive deep into looking for opportunities and also taking advantage of those offered to you, how networking can be key to your next career move, how to get out of your comfort zone and what you’re going to feel when you decide to make that pivot in your career.

If you’re not uncomfortable, you’re not growing!

What we’re talking about

  • Money Isn’t Everything
  • Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone
  • Taking A Risk And Learning To Pivot

Sometimes The Money Just Isn’t Worth It

My dad wanted me to get a finance degree because those people made money. I worked 70-100 hours per week, 7 days a week and ended up with an eating disorder. Money is not the answer to your problem, discovering what you’re good at and what you enjoy doing is the answer and the money will follow.

When Being Comfortable Makes You Stuck

In order to get unstuck, you have to get out of your comfort zone. I was given the opportunity to report live from the New York Stock Exchange floor which was something I had never done before. By taking just a quarter turn closer to what you want to do, you’ll discover what you’re good at and like doing. If you stay where you are, you’ll never move forward.

High Risks Bring High Rewards

They say high risks bring high rewards and that’s exactly what happened when I decided I wanted to launch my own coaching business while still working at The Muse. You have to simply take chances and say yes to opportunities when they are presented to you. So often we want the sure thing, but by taking a risk, we open ourselves up to bigger things that can and will change our lives and careers.

Just take chances!

"Before every pivot, there is fear. During every pivot, there is faith-fueled excitement. After every pivot, if done correctly, is relief and fulfillment."
