There are about 500,000,000 articles on productivity. Give or take.

And I can confirm that not one of these articles helped move my butt to be more productive. You know when you have one of those weeks where you’re just like – WHERE DID THE TIME GO? I HAVE SO MUCH STILL ON MY TO DO LIST. I was distracted by…I couldn’t even tell you. I was just distracted.

But sometimes you just have to remind yourself that it’s all okay. That it’s not the end of the world if your “perfect week” is less than perfect.  Next week will be better. Plus, perfection is for the dogs anyways. No one’s got time to live up to those standards.

So if you feel like this week just escaped you, I’m with you friends. Next week will be better.

And speaking of perfection, I had this perfect streak going with my New Year’s Resolution – until this week. And it was actually kind of fun to break it.  All year I had been following it to a T, but this week I decided to you know, be a little rebel. So what was my New Year’s Resolution you ask?

To not “work out”.

Yep. I vowed to not work out this year. For the past ten years every New Year’s Resolution involved some level of working out more, eating better, meal prepping, etc. etc. Blah. So boring. I was sick of the cycle, so this year I wanted to change that. I wanted to actually enjoy moving my body and not stressing it out as much.  So I just moved when I felt like it and rested when I needed to versus the strict schedule I always had myself on.  And I’ve never felt better.

But this week I actually went to the gym. And lifted weights. And it was really fun. And though my muscles hate me, I kinda want to do it again. So I think I may have to continue to break my resolution. What say you? Moving for fun – who’s with me!?

Here’s to next week being more productive and less sore!
